CCA GALLERIES International is delighted to present the first major solo exhibition by artist Juliet St John Nicolle. The exhibition sees mixed media works in paint, print and collage allowing us a glimpse into the artist’s consciousness as she navigates the “neuro-typical” human world. Juliet has exhibited regularly with pieces selected every year for the Jersey Summer Exhibition at CCA International. An exhibition in 2021 commissioned by Art House Jersey reflecting her experience of living through the pandemic with autism, accompanied by printed limited edition works and a book made with Luddite Press, work was also selected and exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer show in London.
Her work has an amazing use of colour and hypnotic movement through its symbolism, which draws the viewer into a completely different stream of emotional consciousness. The exhibition will feature some key pieces from her current body of work (The Sea's Soul) which Juliet says outlines the importance of the Ocean to all of us on Earth, as well as older work in an exclusive collection curated for this next important step in Juliet St John Nicolle’s career as an artist.
Juliet will be working with Worton Hall Studios to make original handmade silkscreen prints, thereby expanding the reach of her artwork. Working in another medium like silkscreen or lithography is testament to the creativity and talent she possesses and we look forward to showing the new body of work in the future.
